Editorial Responsibilities

The editorial team of TSMIJ plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality, integrity, and academic relevance of the journal. Editors are entrusted with ensuring that submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly, transparently, and ethically. In alignment with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the following responsibilities apply:

1. Editorial Decision-Making

• Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on the paper’s originality, significance, relevance to the journal’s scope, and quality of research.

• Decisions are based solely on academic merit and suitability, irrespective of the authors’ race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political views.

 2. Fair and Ethical Peer Review

• Ensure that each manuscript is subject to a double-blind peer review process by qualified reviewers in the appropriate field.

• Maintain anonymity of authors and reviewers to ensure impartiality and objectivity.

3. Confidentiality

• Maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related data during and after the review process.

• Editors must not use any unpublished content for personal research purposes.

4. Conflict of Interest

• Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and withdraw themselves from handling any manuscript in which they have a competing interest.

5. Upholding Publication Ethics

• Take prompt and appropriate action when ethical concerns arise regarding a manuscript, including plagiarism, data falsification, or duplicate publication.

• Collaborate with reviewers, authors, and other editors to investigate and resolve such issues.

6. Communication and Transparency

• Maintain open and professional communication with authors and reviewers throughout the editorial workflow.

• Provide timely feedback, editorial decisions, and clear revision instructions where necessary.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Encourage and support editorial team members to participate in peer review training, ethics workshops, and academic publishing forums.

• Strive for excellence in maintaining the journal’s academic standards and international visibility.
